Why does Mr. Skin have the sudden urge to growl like a bear? Perhaps it’s because he’s thinking of British-born beauty Sandy Grizzle. Though she has but four credits on her resume, her fine figure and willingness to share it make her short on-screen acting career a memorable one. For her debut, she played the victim of a gang set on doing her very wrong in the action crime Death Wish 3 (1985), with Charles Bronson as the iconic Paul Kersey. Though the movie’s tagline was “He’s back in New York bringing justice to the streets…” it actually had scenes filmed in and around London, too, which is how our dark maiden came to be cast. In her big scene, Sandy is being carried away by some thugs, her top is off and her bare breasts are exposed, her flimsy skirt is flopping around, showing her small white panties and long legs. She’s writhing in an effort to escape when Bronson spies her distress, shoots the criminal scum from across a couple of buildings, and saves Sandy, who scurries off to safety. If you remember that the damsel gets saved, you can admire her treasure chest while she’s in danger—and there is much to admire, as this woman is full-figured and fabulous. After her impressive debut, Sandy opted for the little screen instead, all in programs in the UK. She popped up as a hooker in the mini-series Intimate Contact (1987), as a Page 3 Girl in the TV series Hot Metal in 1988, and alongside a young Hugh Laurie (Dr. House) in the mini-series All or Nothing at All (1993).
